- Responsible to oversee and manage safe production of fresh food concepts
- Verifies food safety and quality within the operation and from the supplier from raw material point to finished goods. Verifying visual quality, shelf life, extended shelf life, temperature logs, labeling, & packing
- Responsible to ensure the highest quality standards and good relations with governing agency representatives, such as USDA.
- Maintaining Food Safety documentation such as HACCP, SSOP, manuals, policies, pre-op procedures, & allergen program.
- Oversight of the HACCP Program to ensure preventative controls, validations, & review of records
- Working closely with Quality Operation Manager/ Team Manager on any food safety or quality assurance issues.
- Constant Overseeing & Maintaining sanitation of the facility to comply with food safety requirements
- Inspecting all raw materials when receiving to meet specifications
- Inspecting all labels of the finished product to ensure all products are produced within specifications.
- Ensures all products meet applicable USDA regulations
- Ability to train all employees on food safety, sanitation program, & regulation policies.
- Perform as Recall Coordinator to complete mock recalls and traceability to ensure recall procedures are current and effective.
- Review & Update all food safety audits conducted by USDA.
- Ability to organize, manage, & update documents for all related documents such as HACCP, SSOP, Recall Programs, Allergen Programs, & Supplier’s records.
- Review labels to ensure accuracy and are to current standards
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required. Food Science or Biology major preferred.
- 0-3 years of related experience.
- Experience in food industry is a plus.
- A high level of organization and PC Proficiency is required including a through knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Korean will be plus.
